Personal Finance
REFLECTIVE THINKING:
PF-NN:
This assignment required me to get online and actually read the writing from a computer. I am not a huge fan of this, but this had so vital information. This whole class has taught me that I need to be prepared for life at whatever age. I have always relied on my parents to do taxes, pay insurance etc. for me. I was so wrong. It is something that everyone needs to learn how to do. The author of our textbook talks about, "The 10 principles of personal finance." From this I learned that the key to financial success is KNOWLEDGE AND PLANNING! You want to make sure you know what you are getting into and how you are going to make things happen. Setting goals is a strategy for a good life and setting financial goals is an absolute must. When you physically write down what you want to accomplish it is so much easier to do it rather than to just tell yourself, "one day I will be rich..." I never realized how much comes out of your income from taxes. They are the silent killer if you don't know how to manage them or you don't expect or plan for them. The biggest thing is to make sure that you CAN do things and you are the one that will make things possible. You need to reevaluate you financial goals. Your life is always changing and your financial life is always changing. This assignment helped me realize this big time!

Financial Statement? What is that? I had this thought going to my mind when we began to talk about this! This worksheet was great practice for me. I was able to see the paper that I am going to be filling out the rest of my life. I never realized how much you needed to know with this. I need to be able to keep track of all of my spending's. That is another reason to keep a budget and track all of where your expenses go. Learning where to properly document your money into your statement is a life tool. While doing this assignment I learned that I definitely don't want to double of what I owe. Meaning, I put my house payment into the statement twice until you caught me and corrected me. I was able to do this as a single, unmarried individual, but I know how to do it for both. I am going to keep this paper which cost me nothing and remember I know how to do things like this. I could pay someone fees to learn how to do this or I could even just pay them an annual fee and lose money and never learn how to do that.
These papers were related because they are something I will use for the rest of my life. They are such valuable tools that I will benefit from! This class has been such an interesting tool for me. I am going to use all of the things for the remainder of my life. I feel like I am a step ahead of lots of people in our nation (with just the little amount of knowledge we have learned from this class.) The class has dipped into about everything financial, but it is going to be a life saver!! This class is the reason I am going to go farther into the business field. It sparked my interest!!!
